This is peak Sniper Elite, with so much about the game inspiring tactical, sneaky gameplay that makes you feel like a real wartime marksman. Putting it under the scope, Rebellion Developments has delivered a coherent, open-ended stealth experience filled with plenty of freedom. Whether I charged in guns blazing or tried to be the ideal sniper or I did the side quests or main objectives, I had fun. What I thought would be a fun game for a couple of hours at most became quickly a phenomenal release I couldn’t get more of. Plainly put, Sniper Elite 5 not only managed to meet my expectations but far surpass them. The gruesome nature of armed combat is accurately recreated. This view lets you see which areas of their anatomy you have injured or destroyed. When you shoot an enemy, you will see an X-ray-like view of their organs and muscles.
